Venus and Serena Williams Serve It Up Proper!

Venus and Serena Williams sure have come a long way since the beaded-braided look back in the day. I used to rock beads when I was 4 years old. But I would've been mad as hell if my mama had made me wear that same hairstyle in high school like the Williams sisters did. Damn, Mama Williams! Why you do them girls dirty like that? But truth be told, I don't care if the Williams sisters wear beads or macaroni noodles in their hair. These 2 are great role models and make me so extremely proud! It's amazing to see how they've blossomed into such beautiful, talented women. The two were featured in the November 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar. If I'm not mistaken, I think Venus is rockin a natural. Don't they look great?

Keri Hilson got a major upgrade! After rocking that not-so-flattering wig for the longest (don't worry Keri, I have that same ate-up wig too, girl! Boys to Men: Bow Wow, Romeo, Trey Songz

Fellas, let me holla at you for a sec! If you would be so kind to answer this one question... Why? Why, Oh Dear Lord, why, do you insist on desperately clinging to those old tired, outdated, ate-up, busted, and broke-down braids? I'm talking about those fuzzy-arse braids with the raggedy ends and lint balls stuck in them because for the past 2 weeks you couldn't get a hold of your girl Niecy from up the "skreet" who usually hooks it up and braids it for you! Paa-LEASE! STOP. THE. MADNESS. This day, I join hands with thousands of sistas across the nation who have this one common plea... Brothas, please! We beg of thee! Just chop that raggedy mess off!

I've always wondered why the fellas just refuse to let go! Just like women transitioning from permed to natural, I guess men also go through a "transition" of sorts. It's a scary, intimidating thing, venturing into the unknown. But sooner or later, when they're ready and the time is right, they find the cojones/the moxy/the balls to take the leap and just go for the BIG CHOP-A-ROO! Brothas like Bow Wow, Romeo (just look at the pic, he ain't "lil" anymore!), Trey Songz, Ludacris, and Xzibit have recently made that switch from braided to buzzed, and ultimately, what I like to call, from "Boys to Men"! Who knew a simple haircut could upgrade your swag game instantaneously! Ladies, They deserve a round of applause! Or better yet, can I get a WHOOOP WHOOOP!? Brandy Norwood's Weave Gets Upgraded!

I don't know about you, but I was beginning to get a bit concerned about Brandy's choices of wigs and weaves as of late. Lawd HAMmercy! Now, I know she was going through some personal and legal turmoil with the car accident she had in 2006. I can completely understand how such stress may have clouded her judgement when she decided to rock that "Grandma Bertha" looking wig/weave in the above pic. So I've been praying that someway, someHOW my girl would pull through this....

...and now my prayers have finally been answered! MY DEAR BROTHA NUNCIE! Ms. Norwood's new weave looks FIERCE! Seems she put together a HOT new look to go with the new album she has coming out soon. Beautiful, soft curls. You gotta love it! Ms. B is back!
